LinkedIn lead generation
LinkedIn lead generation, step by step.
LinkedIn is where most B2B buyers can be found by name, title and company, and where they post about what's bothering them at work. Here's how a small team turns that into conversations, by hand or with Siela's AI SDR doing the legwork from your own account.
Find marketing leads at B2B SaaS companies who posted about pipeline this month, and connect with a note.
Found 19 who fit and posted about pipeline recently; 12 are hot. Each gets a connection request with a short note about their post. When they accept, I'll pick up from the note.

What LinkedIn lead generation is
LinkedIn lead generation means finding potential customers on LinkedIn and starting conversations with them, usually by connecting with a short personal note, following up, and posting content that makes people want to reply. It works best when you reach people who have a reason to talk now.
There are two kinds. Organic: your profile, connection requests, messages and posts. Paid: LinkedIn ads, including Lead Gen Forms, which pre-fill a sign-up form inside the ad with the member's profile details. This page is about the organic kind, which costs nothing but time.
Six steps that work for small teams
- Fix your profile first. People look you up before they accept. Your headline should say who you help and with what, not just your title. See our LinkedIn headline examples.
- Choose one buyer. One role, one company size, one problem. "Heads of operations at 20 to 200 person logistics firms" beats "decision makers".
- Find people with a reason to talk. LinkedIn's free search with filters for title, company and location goes a long way. Then look for signals: a new role, hiring for the job you help with, or a post about the problem you solve. Our guide to finding leads without Sales Navigator covers the searches.
- Connect with a short note. One specific reason, no pitch, under 200 characters. Use our connection request templates as a start.
- Follow up once they accept. Pick up from your note, ask one easy question, and offer something useful. Two or three follow-ups at most. See the follow-up templates.
- Post two or three times a week. People you contact will look at your activity. A few posts about real work, and comments on your buyers' posts, make your messages land better.
LinkedIn limits how many invitations you can send each week and notices when many are ignored, so twenty well-chosen requests beat a hundred random ones.
Or let the AI SDR do the legwork
Steps three to five take most of the time. Siela's AI SDR does them from your own LinkedIn account: it finds people who fit and show a fresh signal, writes each note from their profile and that signal, sends up to the daily goal you set (at most 50 a day), and follows up after they accept. LinkedIn Presence covers step six, posting in your voice and replying to comments.
It works in the LinkedIn session you signed in to yourself in the Siela desktop app, stops at any sign-in or security check, and needs no Premium or Sales Navigator. LinkedIn's User Agreement restricts automated activity, so no tool can promise zero risk.

Questions
How do I generate leads on LinkedIn?
Fix your profile, pick one type of buyer, find people with a fresh reason to talk, connect with a short personal note, follow up once they accept, and post two or three times a week so your profile looks active.
Do I need Sales Navigator for LinkedIn lead generation?
No. LinkedIn's free search and filters are enough for most small teams, and Siela's AI SDR sends connection requests and messages without Premium, Sales Navigator or InMail.
What are LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms?
A LinkedIn ads format: a sign-up form inside the ad that's pre-filled with the member's profile details. It's part of LinkedIn's paid advertising, not organic outreach.
How many connection requests can I send a week?
LinkedIn limits weekly invitations and doesn't publish one fixed number for every account. Sending fewer, well-chosen requests with a note keeps your acceptance rate up.
Can Siela do LinkedIn lead generation for me?
Yes. The AI SDR finds people who fit and show a buying signal, sends connection requests and messages from your own account, and follows up. LinkedIn Presence posts in your voice.
Hand over the growth work.
Paste your website, check the setup and press start. You set the limits; the agents do the rest.
